Quick timer
90 Minute Timer
An hour and a half on the clock. The dial shows the second lap.
Sound settings
For the long sessions
Ninety minutes suits practice exams, long study or writing sessions, a film or match, slow cooking, or a full block of focused creative work. Some people like 90 minute work cycles followed by a longer rest.
The dial shows one hour per lap. With 90 minutes set, you'll see "+ 1 hour" above the digits and the ring shows the extra 30 minutes; once you're under an hour it simply counts down around the face.
Stay comfortable
For long sessions, plan a quick stretch or water break, and keep the screen on if you need to hear the alarm on a phone. If you'd rather split the time into shorter rounds, the Pomodoro timer can do it automatically, or use the 50 minute timer.
Ninety minutes also lines up with a typical feature film, a long exam paper, a slow braise or a full football half plus a break. Use Copy link to share the exact timer, and press F for a clean full screen view that's easy to read from across a room.
Frequently asked questions
What's the longest time I can set?
You can set up to 120 minutes with the dial or Custom boxes. For anything longer, or a specific date and time, use the countdown timer.
Why does it say + 1 hour?
The dial shows one hour per lap. The label reminds you there's a full extra hour on top of what the ring shows.
Will it keep running if I switch tabs or lock my screen?
Yes. The timer works from your device clock, so it stays accurate in a background tab, and the tab title shows the time left. If your phone locks, the countdown carries on, but some phones delay sound until you unlock, so keep the screen on for anything important.
